We run a thatching pass over the lawn to break up the matted dead layer and pull the dead stuff to the surface.

Soil check first.
We check thatch depth with a quick core sample. Under half an inch and we'll talk you out of it — save your money.

Debris hauled.
Whatever comes up gets bagged. There's a lot of it. That's normal and means it was working.

Cleanup pass.
Quick mow at standard height to even out the surface, then blow the hardscape clean.

Pairs with aeration or overseeding.
Best paired the same week — the surface is open and the seed and fert actually have a chance.
